Climate vulnerability in Wales and England

Who may be vulnerable to flooding, heat, drought, severe weather and other hazards, how able they are to respond, the places that look after them and the hazards themselves, from each council down to each of its small areas (2021 LSOAs). Our own experimental scores from official data, never an official measure, with every source and weight shown on each page.

Wales

All 22 councils and their 1,917 small areas. The page opens on the Cardiff Capital Region's ten councils; you can also see all of Wales, North Wales, Mid Wales and South West Wales, or one council:

England

Every English council and small area, a region at a time (the page opens on London). Choose a region, then a council within it:

Scotland and Northern Ireland are not covered. Each page shows three scenarios (now, 2°C and 4°C of global warming above pre-industrial) and credits its sources: ONS, the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, the Met Office, the Welsh Government, MHCLG, Ordnance Survey and others.
